Default Ubuntu - panel doesn't hide all the way (screen adjust?) - 08-08-2009, 05:35 AM

When running in default "classic" Ubuntu Desktop mode, the top panel doesn't auto-hide completely...I can still see a few pixels of it sticking out and this is taking up precious space for other apps. Normally with a desktop I'd simply do some adjustments with the monitor screen to move the display up...but I can't figure out how to do that. Any help?
