I just ordered a refurbished 10v from Dell's Outlet store, for $229. It comes with 120GB drive, XP-home, 802.11b/g, but unfortunately no bluetooth.

Also, 3-5 day shipping is included so I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival within a week.

I'll be upgrading the RAM and installing Leopard + iPhone SDK, asap. Thanks to all who post here for the inspiration to acquire a 10v instead of a Mac mini ($399+).

I am incredibly annoyed that they put the price restriction on the coupon this time around. I was all set to purchase one for my mom today (I stumbled across a base model in black for $249 with the 6 cell battery that would have been perfect for her), but after I found out about the price restriction on the coupon, I decided not to buy it. The $299+ models all have options on them that she doesn't want/need, plus they end up being more expensive than the $249 one even with the 15% discount. I guess I'll just have to wait for next week's newsletter and hope for a less restrictive coupon! I will also have to get lucky and stumble across another base model - very difficult to do, especially during a coupon sale!

Wow, this coupon sucks [$299 minimum]. 2 weeks ago I ordered a previously ordered new unit, with XP, 3-cell battery, 160 gig hdd, and the 600 screen for $269 - 15%. $228. Funny thing is, all the refurbs cost more than this PoN unit I happened to grab at the right moment.

Fedex just delivered my refurb $229 Mini 10v today! Wow, 3 business days no charge.

By the way, it has a 600 display with no dead pixels. I'm quite impressed so far, but only playing with XP.

Next comes installing the 2GB stick I picked up at Fry's yesterday ($19.95 after mi rebate).

And then comes the big step: installing Leopard and iPhone SDK.

Cheers to all, and happy bargain hunting!
