I just got my refurb mini10v from the outlet yesterday. It's a lot faster than I thought it would be. By the way it has the 1024x600 res., specs had it at x576 when I ordered it. I recently bought the mini9, but sold it to my brother who really liked it. The bigger keyboard is a huge + and the built-in webcam is not bad at all.

Just got mine (actually, for my mom), but it is 1024x600. I *heart* this computer. It's great. The size is perfect. Now I need to justify one to my wife.

The 6 cell is great, though - I can get almost 7 hours out of it if I'm just surfing the web and don't have the screen brightness up too high.
From what I have read on the forum the 28 is slightly larger than the 24, it fits but you have to file it down in a place or two to make it fit. I do not think the 10v can be purchased with the 28. Its either the 24 or the 6 cell. fdalbor

Default 576 or 600 Screen - 08-24-2009, 02:39 AM

Has anyone ever actually compared a 576 screen alongside a 600 screen? Wondering if there is really a difference that is worth worrying about? I assume the physical size of the screen is the same, so it must shrink, whatever you are viewing, in order to fit the extra pixels in. Just seems to me that it isn't something to get worked up about.

I may show everyone my stupidity here, but how can one tell the resolution from looking at the machine?

I received mine back and Dell replaced the bad one with a good 1024x600 screen.

Well h377. I went to Best Buy during lunch and looked at the 10v on display. It displayed 1024x576 in Display Settings. Sorry, folks. I assumed that both would round to 1024x600 in Display Properties. Guess that's why one should not ass-u-me anything.

Default 1024x600 Screen Test Pattern - 08-30-2009, 04:29 PM

I placed my outlet order for a "previously ordered new" white Mini 10v with a 1024x600 screen 8/21 and it came 8/28. My invoice said "10.1WSVGA,V2,Lg Phillips Lcd." In the box was a notice about the screen setting being 1024x576, so I got worried, but it was in fact the 1024x600 when I booted up.

Here's a 1024x600 screen pattern (modified from a Mitsubishi test image) that you might find helpful.
