Installing the ram and installing the BT
require two very different case openings. Installing new ram is simple and requires opening two screws and thats thats it. BT
is a whole different ball game. So it wont really be "open" in the way it needs to be like you think.
Here's my opinion, and of course feel free to do what you want: unless you plan on modding the midi and making it a pastime/hobby of yours, dont upgrade it later. Especially since the price is not only good through Dell, but exactly on target for what it should be. If you want to futz around with the dell and want the challenge of upgrading it on your own then hold off and upgrade it on your own, but frankly, for 20 bucks to have them do it, I would jump on that in a second. Only reason why I didnt is because mine was a refurb and I had no option to add. In fact, I suspect thats what most people on this thread encountered which is why we all resorted to self upgrades. I think most people on this thread (shy of maybe an OS upgrade) would have gladly spent the 20 bucks for BT
through Dell if the option was offered to them.
anyway, hope that helps.
