Default Mini10 or 10v? - 07-02-2009, 05:26 PM

Hi,

Can you help me identify this computer please: Sam's Club - Dell Inspiron 1011 Netbook 1.6GHz, 160GB, 10" LCD

Its specs appear different to both the 10 and the 10v, so which is it?
I'm wanting to upgrade beyond 1GB using anguish's guide.
Sam's calls it a Mini10.... I've posted their specs below, but fear that their posted specs may not be accurate.

Will the system recognize a 4GB RAM module? [for uBuntu]

Thanks,

Patrick

The specs are all 10v. The one picture of it open looks like a Mini 10 but everything else, including the title "Dell Inspiron 1011 Netbook" says Mini 10v.

2GB RAM is the maximum that either Mini 10's will support.

Default Sam's is incorrectly advertising features - 07-11-2009, 03:54 PM

I purchased this computer and found it to be a Mini 10 without the HDMI port, even though the web site clearly states in several places that it has an HDMI.
I called Dell and they confirmed that the 1011 does not have an HDMI port.
I returned the computer to Sam's and showed them the error in their web page, but nobody was interested.

Oops, I didn't notice that entry "HDMI connector" or I would have said "specs are all 10v except the HDMI part."
