Stick a USB stick in - if it mounts you should have it listed under the eject button. Or plug in an external DVD drive perhaps...

It doesn't work - it always says no drives.

I always remove the eject button so I'm not sure but...

Try mounting a disk image, i.e. double click a .dmg file and see if the eject button will work for that for you.

I'm on 10.6.2 and restart won't work after sleep. The screen goes black but the LED light indicates that the machine is still running. The only way out is a hard reset (keep the power button pressed until it completly shuts down)

Has anyone else experienced this, is there a fix?
edit: NBI 8.3 RC5 worked! I am now rebooting successfully after sleep.

PS: I have the permanent eject button too. It does not show thumb drives nor dmg disk image files. Doesn't really bother me though.

Hold down command key and drag the eject button from the menubar to the desktop with the mouse.

If you want it back it is in the CoreServices folder in the system's library.

I can also confirm that the eject button always shows no drives...it doesn't matter what kind it is.

Good morning. I am completely lost. I want to buy a Dell in order to install Mac OSX an I don't know if Dell mini 10v, or Dell mini 1011 is the right one. Or maybe the two models are the same ? Looking in the market in order to understand what is the difference between them and can't figure out. Can somebody clarify that ? Regards

Dell Mini 10v and 1011 are the same thing. 10v is the commercial name for it and 1011 is the Dell model number.
