Well it's a usb adapter, not built-in bluetooth, so no need to crack the case open... the adapter has a small blue light that does come on, so it's getting power, but it's not showing up anywhere.

just in time for my first install.. got the 10v on Monday. Thanks so much for the Audio Update.. Seems to be a cleaner update from the original Voodoo solution.

anguish- could you elaborate a little on these steps?

In the case of several of us, there were a total of four kexts posted in that thread. It took the installation of all for kexts using kext helper to get it to work. I plan on elaborating more when I rewrite that entire first post.

a rewritten instruction that covers everything would be nice. i'm a noob at this and while the bootmaker/netbook app was fantastic, it did take some searching to figure out how to use them.

i dropped all four ktext files (applehda, legacy apple hda, hdaenabler, verbhelper) and the microphone still doesn't work. i had a fresh install and used the netbookinstaller after upgrading to 10.5.7. wondering what went wrong.
