I saw that. I'm going to give it a shot hopefully later today as well.. I'm transferring everything off so I can rebuild my 10v now..

Nope. At the moment, everything I've seen (plus the one time I did install them) tell me that it would only lead me to further insanity. I'm already insane enough.

Thanks for cleaning up that front page and all your input.

It says that the audio icon in the menu bar disappears because of this fix. But there's also (allegedly) a fix for that in the thread.

I have been 3 days trying to install Mac OSX on my 10v.
I tried the one USB (USB Hard Drive) which didn't work. I got as far as reboot into with the -x and all I got was spinning spokes.
I received my External USB DVD drive yesterday and finally figured out how to get to the installer page using the DVD install disk.
I got to the restart into safe mode and when I typed the -x, I got about 20 partial apple logo silhouettes made up of horizontal lines and spaces.

I kept trying and I did not knowingly do anything different.
It finally booted up and I ran the delfi 1.25a for the second time and now, I have a genuine Hacintosh.
I'm going to take a well deserved break now. I have Ethernet, but I am going to come back and tackle WiFi and all the other little problems.
The moral of this post is don't give up once you get down to booting into the safe mode.

I have a question for anyone who's installed Meklort's touchpad drivers on the Mini 10v:

"When your touchpad prefs and driver are loaded, should the regular Apple
Mouse prefs panel still show up inside the "Keyboard & Mouse" System Pref?"

You are correct about the sound icon disappearing from the menubar when using that static fix. I haven't tried the workaround for it described on the website. For now i'm happier having clear audio then the icon on the menubar, I just use the keyboard volume controls to adjust/mute my sound if needed.

Also, when using the trackpad drivers the normal apple keyboard & mouse preference pane stays. You will see an additional preference pane called "Trackpad" in your system preferences in the "Other" section.
