Any thoughts on why the sound isn't working? Also, do you think the wifi would work easier with the WiFi-G default card?

For sound, I have no idea. My hope is that it magically starts working with the updates.

As far as wifi, it's possible. I haven't dug into any of it enough yet to figure it out, nor am I even sure I would know what to look at. All I know at this point is that the wifi card is tiny, and that I'm using the 1510 (802.11g/n). And that it works, even if it's wonky. Once I got it to work, it's been working fine since, and that's after multiple reboots and a few shutdowns.

What version of the OS are you running now? 10.5 or 10.5.6?

Running 10.5.6. I'm going to have to do 10.5.7 when I get home, as I'm leaving work in 10 minutes and our 3 Mbps connection will take forever to download it.

Mini10(v) uses Realtek ALC272 soundchip which is newer Realtek chip than that used in Mini9/Vostro A90

If you take a hard drive out of the body specific container (if it has one) then of course it will fit, a 2.5" HD is a 2.5" HD no matter how you look at it.

Just know this, a 7200 drive is a battery eater compared to what is in there, or did the 10v change, I know the original Mini 10 with the HDD only was a 4800 RPM disk probably A for battery life and B for cost reasons.

HD in the 10v I think is a 5400 rpm drive. I'm content with that, although, like I mentioned, I'm totatlly going to go for SSD...eventually.

I figured, the 10v is way up there on performance compared to the original 10

Question though, what kind of battery life are you getting out of that thing?
(especially because all the performance was amped up on that thing, and the original 10 didn't have very good battery life to begin with)
