The Easus software would not work for a 1 to 1 physical drive clone. It allowed only logical drives to be cloned, in my case.
Also tried carbon copy clone. no good - it saw my SSD
drive as readonly. That may have been due to using a Seagate USB to SATA adaptor ?
In the end a friend had a copy of EZ Gig software designed for cloning to SSD
drives. It came with a USB/SATA connector cable. I used it for a disk to disk clone, and it worked to a point.
I've fitted a 240Gig SSD
by Silicon-Power.com. Speed is very good
The XP and OSX are working perfectly, but the Ubuntu OS will not boot. It stops with a flashing cursor in the top left corner of the screen.
Now i remember having that condition before and I think re-running Netbookinstaller may have solved it. Any ideas ?
