Hay i am stuck i woke up this morning and it said it needed automatic updateing so not thinking i did it anyway. then got stuck in a boot loop of DEATH! then i read through the former and found out how to update to 10.6.8 and did that and had no sound or sleep so i aded the SleepEnabler and got that taken care of but as expected still no sound so read further and read about voodoohda. so i went through the steps and installed it using Kext helper b7. but then I got stuck every time I booted up to this screen....

I'm pretty sure you can't have voodoohda and applehda kext at the same time. Try removing applehda in S/L/E. I don't use 10.6.8, but I think voodoohda is problematic, I tried it once, can't remember exactly what happened, but I moved my audio extra extensions to S/L/E as my audio solution. I keep a clone, it's alot easier than reinstalling.

O.K. 1st off- just install osx again over the top of what you have as per--http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell-mini-10v-mac-os-x-discussion/27846-beauty-re-installing-osx.html--Get a clone of your install, external or elsewhere, make sure to re-install NBI to your clone. Check that your clone boots. Make sure that if you want to try voodoohad that you first remove applehda.kext from S/L/E. S/L/E is the main kext folder, System/Library/Extensions

I found that installing the SleepEnabler.kext with kext helper fixes the sound issue. I have no idea why.
