Hi new to the forum =)

I recently hackintoshed my Dell 10v and everything was working fine, I had it running on SL 10.6.7.

I wanted to put iOS 5 on to my iPhone but iTunes told me to update to 10.5 which I did not thinking it would be a problem. This however destroyed my laptop =(

My 10v now loads to the White apple logo screen for a few seconds then reboots and goes back to the the White apple logo, it is stuck in this cycle.

Any suggestions to fix this? I assume installing OSX again from USB will fix this but I would much rather avoid this and use it as a last resort.

Update:

So as Ginsu said, the iTunes updated my OS to 10.6.8 -_-
I got into my desktop by using 'recovery=y' I did this a few times because I thought my keyboard wasn't responding but you just have to wait a while for it to load. Now I have no sound or wifi =(

Update 2:

10.6.8 is running slow and id much rather prefer to have 10.6.7 back. Is there any way to downgrade the OS or do I have to do a fresh install of my retail 10.6.3 disk and then update again?

You may have installed the OS X 10.6.8 update also when you updated iTunes to 10.5. If that's the case, you can check out other threads to trouble-shoot 10.6.8 issues (many here have solved their problems and are running 10.6.8 just fine), or you can reinstall 10.6.7.
