It's all good when it works, but a high percentage of times (30-40%) when you boot up the sound is not present (speaker icon grey'd out). I wonder if the fix that is out there for the Mini 9 (Akki's sound fix) would work on the 10v as well and fix this issue once and for all. Here is the link to the fix I am referring to: Bundle for fixing Mini 9 Sound & Mic Has anyone tried? Thanks, Simax. |

However, on my 10v this issue sometimes happens (been happening since before 10.6.7 I think) and it seems to be cured by rebooting and going into the BIOS setup. Not necessarily changing anything, but just going in and then exiting. |

I went to system preferences to the speakers and it does not find an output device. Should I run netbookinstaller 20100616212351? I started to run it but then chickened out. . ..Thanks! |

Look at your Finder bar at the top of your screen, if it isn't translucent Quartz Extreme isn't working. 10V | OS X 10.6.7 | NBI 20100616212351 |BIOS 06|160 GB|1 GIG RAM| 6 Cell Dell Battery Functioning Hibernation Back up Mini 9| OS X 10.6.7| NBI 20100616212351| BIOS 05 | 32 GB SuperTalent | 2 GIGS RAM |

Sometimes it'll be fine for a few days and sometimes it'll take a few reboots to come back. Not sure why but I guess I'll live with it in lieu of shelling out for a 'real' mac :P. |
