Default need to resize iTunes Prefs window - 05-06-2011, 07:09 AM

I've searched the forum but can't find how to resize this window so that the bottom of it is visible.

Tried the System Prefs resizers - doesn't work for iTunes prefs - and I've read about a status bar resizing script but can't find a link to it.

Would be very grateful for some help here.

Launch iTunes using the AppMinimizer script here:

AppScale

It will open it scaled down. that will allow you to view the bottom of the preferences pane. This is known issue, more commonly reported in regards to photobooth. there's a few other solutions in the forum if you search for photobooth.

note that the script will default to photobooth when opened. type in iTunes, or any other app of choice to open whatever you'd like.

edit: hadn't actually tried it w/ itunes, so i checked it just now and it does work... the buttons get chopped in half though. strange.. you can still get to them so this should do it for you.

Also, at least for me, running iTunes normally still shows the very top of the buttons, and are just barely, but usable anyway.
cheers.

Thanks, Oscar - that does, indeed, resize the window, but the top half of the bubbles, which was visible before the resize, is still there as only the top half.

I'll have look in photobooth as you suggest.

honest, i don't think you'll find a solution. it seems like a coding glitch that won't allow iTunes to display that window correctly in the mini. i say that because it's not an issue of the window being to big as in other apps --PhotoBooth for instance, drops off the screen along the bottom in it's normal scale. In iTunes, there's plenty of room along the bottom even at 100% scale. maybe future updates iTunes will work better. for now i think we're stuck with it as it is. I point out again, that the buttons are still usable, even if only barely visible.

if you do happen to find a solution tho, post back.

Thanks for that advice - the mini's for my daughter and I want to be able to say, when she says something's not right, that I've looked into it and can't improve it just now.

Cheers
