Question Time Machine back up? - 04-11-2011, 07:48 PM

Ok, so I successfully installed Mac OSX 10.6.3 on my mini 10v (used NBBM 0.8.4)

Anyway, I was thinking about updating.....
I downloaded the combo and NBI *********51
Here's the question:

if I backed up my current setup using time machine and an external HD and the update screws something up, CAN I re-boot Mac OSX from my ORIGINAL flashdrive (w/ the software and NBBM 0.8.4) and restore it from the time machine backup?

Any help is appreciated cause i really want to update!

Copy the version of NBI you use onto the flashdrive. Then you can restore from TM and run that from the terminal and you'll be all good.

mini 9 | 2GB RAM | 16GB STEC SDD | BIOS A06, USB Legacy OFF | No Bluetooth | OSX 10.6.7 | NBI 0.8.5pre w/ ALC268 | Broadcom2Airport
MINI Cooper '02 | 1.6L | CVT | Moonroof | Red w/ White Stripes

Want the ALC268 mini 9 sound fix? Get it here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2377323/Mini9SoundPatch.zip
