Did you look at this old thread- Does the new Apple App Store work on your Hackintosh? Mine didn't work at first either, but I fixed it using help from that thread. 10V | OS X 10.6.7 | NBI 20100616212351 |BIOS 06|160 GB|1 GIG RAM| 6 Cell Dell Battery Functioning Hibernation Back up Mini 9| OS X 10.6.7| NBI 20100616212351| BIOS 05 | 32 GB SuperTalent | 2 GIGS RAM

YOU BEAUTY, YOU ABSOLUTE BEAUTY!! Was up to 4:30am last night trying various solutions on thse and other boards, none of them worked. Or rather, none of them worked, until I tried the VERY simple method highlighted in the thread you gave. Have two gold stars. ![]()

I had been running 10.6.2 before that. Just followed the advice above to install the 10.6.7 update: 1) download and install NBI 0.8.5pre 2)(without restarting- is this where I messed up?) install 10.6.7 combo update 3)restart when I restarted I got the HD icon, backwards progress bar saying "press any key to enter startup options, and then tons of lines of code. Right about here: 4) fReAk OuT!!!!!! Started typing THIS and the thing restarted again... and amazingly, went to the apple logo and let me log in. It worked???? Sweet Jesus in a handbag, it worked! Oh wait... no sound... ok, no problem, some brilliant genius mentioned this already. Restarted and got the same backwards status bar with a message of "press any key to enter startup something" freaked out and hit space. Sat there not doing anything for a while and then I hit enter and it booted into 10.6.7 with sound. I should have played a hallelua chorus on youtube.... maybe I'll go do that now. Thanks again for all your help on here! Hopefully the restart thing won't panic me too much, I think I just didn't realize the startup screen changed a bit with 10.6.7. |

If you enable it it shouldn't show that anymore. Sound is still hit or miss on the 10v, sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't. I set mine to Hibernate, so when I wake it up the sound always works. There is a thread here on how to do it if you want- Is Hibernation actually possible? Go to page 8, post #79 for the pertinent info. 10V | OS X 10.6.7 | NBI 20100616212351 |BIOS 06|160 GB|1 GIG RAM| 6 Cell Dell Battery Functioning Hibernation Back up Mini 9| OS X 10.6.7| NBI 20100616212351| BIOS 05 | 32 GB SuperTalent | 2 GIGS RAM
