Question Updates? - 03-18-2011, 06:45 PM

Well I have a Dell 10v running Mac OSX 10.6.
I have been prompt to do a sytem update once.
I did click no on the update because I am wondering if it will shut down my computer?
If it updates will the OS still be compatible with my Dell 10v?

It depends entirely on which version of NBI you are currently running.

I would use this one and do the updates, mine have all gone fine.-

The one caveat to upgrading past 10.6.4 on the 10V is the sound sometimes doesn't load properly, requiring a re-start. I followed the Hibernation thread in the Developement section, in particular Sloyhtyper's post #79 on page 8.
Is Hibernation actually possible?

Now, instead of re-starting my mini 10V, I just close it, wait for the light to strobe showing it is in Sleep mode and remove the battery and it is in Hibernation, and pushing the power button wakes it up quickly. By doing this I never have to worry about wether or not I will have audio, if it was working when I put it in Hibernation, it will still be working when I "wake" it up.
