Installed 10.6.6 via SU, from latest. Rebooted, but, seemed to run forever with the Apple logo and spinning wheel. Possible that I didn't wait long enough (I'm very impatient). So, I decided to boot via NetbookCD1.1, drop to terminal via 10.6 SL disk, and re-run NBI 20100616212351, seemed to install fine. Rebooted, same thing..still spinning after 20 mins. Still waiting....
Did I screw things up by doing this?
Saw that it was hanging at vnet: Adding protocol 2
Booted with -v -x -F option and goes through more verbose detail, including:
***** FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED *****
hfs: Removed 1 orphaned / unlinked files and 0 directories
launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /etc/mach_init.d/dashboardadvisoryd.plist
Waiting for DSMOS.... (Hangs here)
*** FINAL UPDATE and FIX ***
Went in with recovery=y and re-ran NBI above. Rebooted, all works now. 10.6.6 Installed and working
Thanks for the info.
