Post 10V Mac OSX 10.6.5 Update Question - 11-29-2010, 05:48 PM

Hello Fellow Dell 10v users,
Does anybody have a good link to the 6-Cell battery for the Dell 10v? I also downloaded the latest Netbook Installer 20100616212351 update. Do I just run this Installer (either from a USB Stick or from the hard drive) and then run the 10.6.5 update via Apple's Software Update?
Thanks in advance,
Applguy

Here's a link for the 6-cell battery made by Dell:
Walmart.com: Dell 56 WHr 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery for Mini 10 Laptops: Computers
Also, I assume you are already running osx (you do not say that though). Assuming you are running osx, just download the new NBI and let it run after downloading on your 10V. Then, go to the apple update (either on your osx or the apple site) and download the new software update. Do NOT run the software update before running the NBI patch.

Default Running Mac OS 10.6.2 on Dell Mini 10v - 12-06-2010, 08:09 AM

Thanks for the info. I've been happily running Mac OS 10.6.2 on my Dell Mini 10v. Everything works (BT, Cam, sound and trackpad). The 3 cell battery is ok- it only gets me 2 1/2 hours of run time before I chase after another outlet. I should have split the hard drive in half so I could dual boot Mac OSX & Windows (this is my next task at hand).
thanks again- applguy
