Maybe a silly question... but.

So I made my bootable flash and it worked like a charm and I've been happily using my hacked mini for about a month.

The 8g flash I used was a borrowed one. I figured if I needed to reboot for any reason I would then buy or borrow another 8g and make a bootable the same way I did this time. Sure it would cost me time, but not money since I borrowed the flash.

Is there any reason I should keep/have that original flash? The exact one I used to make my hack? Or am I good with this plan?

I keep mine on hand just in case I do something bone-headed (and I have several times) and need it to repair my mini with.

It doesn't need to be the exact one you used for your install. You can safely return that one to your friend.

I would look for one after Black Friday, there should be plenty left over at Walmart on Saturday. There always are at my local store.

I'm having a little problem. I just sold my mini10V and I was installing OS X on it for the new owner, it installed like a gem, I downloaded what I thought was the newest NBI and installed it and updated to the newest OS updates, but now I'm stuck at the gray spinning apple screen, after a long wait on the NBI screen. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks! I will keep my eyes open for bargain 8g flash drives. I know that the holiday will bring me an external DVD burner... which is a good thing because the one on my MacBook Pro is acting quite wonky.

Mine has been a blessing. I plan on picking up an 8gb after Black Friday as all I have currently is a 16 gig.
