Default Working Mini 10v - OS X 10.6.5 - 11-11-2010, 04:17 AM

Using the latest NBI, I installed NBI, rebooted, installed 10.6.5 via Apple menu, software update, rebooted. Waited quite some time and all works perfectly.

So does this mean on a fully updated 10.6.4 system with NBI already installed etc you can just go ahead and run Apple Update for 10.6.5 and have it install with no issues?

Repaired permissions, installed latest NBI, installed combo 10.6.5, waited a while, rebooted, installed NBI again and everything is working great.

For the record, what is the "latest" NBI that you used? NetbookInstaller 20100616212351.app?

Yes, the one from the 10.6.4 thread, post 1 now, post 67 originally.

Yes; It did for me as well. On a mini 1011, with XP and Ubuntu 10.04.1 on a 160gb drive, 1gb memory. However, the weirdest thing is all the OS logo png pictures device_ntfs, device_hfsplus and device_ext3 in the Default folder reverted back to the grey hdd photos. I had to find my logo png files and reinstall them in the Default folder.
A second thing that I found was the audio was NOT on in the first boot after the install; it came back after a simple reboot.
In bios, I have USB-legacy support disabled. Blue tooth is enabled, but not seem to be working under MacOS, it does under the other two OS's.
Hope this helps.

Everything working fine here including airport (all I did was download via software update, and restarted, waited for it to finish rebooting, and that's it.) Doesn't get as hot as it did on 10.6.4 either.

Having already installed the above mentioned NBI from the 10.6.4 discussion I just ran Software Update and installed only the 10.6.5 update. After about 35 minutes of installing it rebooted and came up to the "Laptop X" logo for about 5 minutes and rebooted again. At this point everything, including sound and wireless worked just fine. Woohoo!
