Will a snow leopard disk higher than 10.6.0 work for the hackintosh (maybe .5 or .3) as i have never hackintoshed before and i have been told that it will not work with discs higher than 10.6.0 if this is the case does anyone know where i could get a 10.6.0 disc

The current disc is 10.6.3 and it will work.

To get a 10.6.0 disc you would need to go to either eBay or Amazon and get either a new or used Retail disc, or post a Wanted in the For Sale section here.

Don't get a drop in or OEM disc that Apple sent out with the new Macs, make sure it's a Retail Upgrade disc.

Default Sound issues - 12-16-2010, 10:11 PM


I upgraded to 10.6.5 using the methods mentioned earlier and things appear fine. However - sometimes the sound works, sometimes it doesn't. I run NBI again and repair permissions, which sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't. Is there a proper fix I can do for this, as it's a real pain?
