10v Dual Boot XP / 10.6 no audio on Mac OS - 09-16-2010, 04:50 PM

New 10v with factory XP. Setup dual boot. Setup hung with 10.6.3 installer (at select language). Started over with 10.6 (orig release) retail disk. Install ran fine but no audio (ever) on Mac Boot.

XP Audio is fine. Saw one suggestion to resave BIOS. Tried that but no change. What next?

Would like to get this to stable setup and need audio to work. Looks like 10.6.2 may be best choice. Should I upgrade to 10.6.2 first (may this fix audio?) or address audio and then go to 10.6.x.

Suggestions appreciated!
