First off hello! I am new to the forums, have just recieved my Dell mini 10v. I am following the guide on Mechdrew, "NetbookInstaller 2: USB Mac Installation via Any Operating System" I have followed both the linux guide and the windows guide, all I manage to get when i try to boot is, "Can't find mach_kernl" It is really starting to get annoying as I have no idea what I am doing wrong! I am using 2 USB Flash drives, 4gb for NBI and a 16gb for Snow Leopard. If somebody can help I will appeciate it very much!! Cheers, George! |

Welcome to the MyDellMini Forums. There already is a lengthy thread here somewhere about this. A search for mach_kernal mismatch should turn up what you are looking for. Cheers for the help, I have managed to get chameleon to boot now! I had formatted my hd to efs+ and this caused the error, not formatted to ntfs and all is good! But now all I get is a message to shut down my computer when I try to start the installation, is there a thread on this somewhere? I have looked but I am not 100% on some of the terms so it is difficult to find things! Cheeers for the help! |
