Every once in a while when I am browsing the internet on the computer the screen will pop up with one of the kernel panics telling me I need to press down the power button to restart the computer. Does anyone have a fix for that it is so annoying.

I've been reading this site for only a couple weeks but have only heard of that issue on reboots not while OSX is already loaded and operational.

Sounds like a bad initial install or you need to run the NBI again and reboot? Are your BIOS settings as recommended ?

Did you upgrade to 10.6.4 without running the NBI first ? I've read that many times as a major culprit.

Make sure you have the latest version of NBI and run that again as recommended

have you by any chance been using the 'up' 'down' keys to scroll


well known KP issue.. try using the touch pad or side bar scroll and report back..
