Hey all,

I'm thinking about making a hackintosh with the Dell mini 10v. The problem is that I can't seem to find one for sale. I looked on best buy.com and Dell.com All I found was the Dell 1012....will that work or do I need to keep looking???

The 10v is mostly discontinued. It might be hard to find a new one (although I think new "slime green" Nickelodeon ones popped up at Dell recently).

You can check the Dell Outlet (Dell's official refurb site). Myself, I'd probably wait/hope for a coupon (10% off, 15% off, etc) before buying. Dell Outlet coupons are frequently available in the emails and the Outlet twitter feed.

I bought mine refurbished at TigerDirect. People are selling them all the time on eBay.
Make sure it is a Mini10v.

Are all of the Nickelodeon minis 10v? How can I tell?

dont know about the nickelodeons, but you want the 1011. (The only processors for it are the N270 and N280)

I think the Nickeleon package (some software, theme, and "slime" screen lid) was only on the 10v (also known as the 1011)... but I'm not 100% sure.

It looks like you can get Nick 10v's for $240 new at the moment: The Dell Online Store: Build Your System. (I hope that link works, Dell's site is impossible to use)

Slime is available in the delloutlet at $269. We've had good luck with the merchandise and folks from the outlet. You can probably find a coupon code to get 15% off. There may not be many more 10v's or 1011's out there since they are no longer made. The slime may be your best/only choice. Do try to get one with a 6 cell battery though, but don't wait too long. J
