Default Audio Issues after waking from Sleep - 07-20-2010, 10:39 PM

Hi everyone,

I'm currently running 10.6.4 on my 10V along with the NBI that was updated to be stable for 10.6.4. However, I've always had the issue of audio not being adjustable when waking up from sleep unless I hit the volume buttons a few times after waking up and then waiting a minute or two for the volume to be controllable again (ie if the volume is at half before sleep, and I wake it up and don't do anything, no matter what I press its stuck at half volume or mute).

How can I fix it so that I don't have to do that?

I've tried searching and implementing various fixes but I can't get any better than this (it used to be audio wouldn't work after sleep at all).

I have no idea if this would fix it, but have you tried TonyMac's 10.6.2 Audio HDA Kext? I haven't tried it with 10.6.4, but used it in 10.6.3 to speed up boot time. If it causes more problems, just rerun NBI...

Can find it here. Scroll down to audio and download 10.6.2-AppleHDAInstaller.
