You can dual boot an existing Windows 7 Dell 10v, without re-installing W7.
You simply need to follow reduce the existing W7 OS partition to make space for a Mac Journalled HFS+ partition. Follow the standard walk throughs to install first to a USB stick, and then copy that to the OS Partition. It is a longish process but NetBookInstaller does work.
I use EasyBCD to select whether to run Windows 7 or to boot MAC OSX via Chameleon.

OR if i could partition through windows 7 to install mac osx. This would mean I would need to partition the mac osx partition to be the mac os extended ( journaled) as the format wont I?
