I have searched and didn't find anything directly related, this thread didn't seemed exactly like my problem and I have tried to add a new location in networks under preference to no avail, so here goes.... Ever since I upgraded to 10.6.4, my wifi has become so slow it got to the point to unusable. I thought maybe it was the range, but I have gone has far to sitting next to my router and it was still slow. It would take about 1 minute to load Google, and sometimes it wouldn't even load. The wifi indicator near the top right shows at least 2-3 bars, and full bar when I am close to the router (Time Capsule from Apple, ironically) but the speed is horrible. Any ideas? Could it be a bad WiFi card? Thanks in advance! |

Apparently there are some channels that are better liked by PCs, and some by Macs. I had to play around with them and found that channel 8 worked a lot better than 5 on both. |
