well known Kp issue, whole threads on here dedicated to it.. ermm if you don't get it cool, mostly occurs during web browsing, used to happen to me but since using track pad scroll no KP's..
as for the crash logs, hacks don't seem to keep them, but a good indication of what's going on just before the fail. applications>>utilities>> Console>> and read the timed irregularities, de bug called for stuff, bet you'll see a 'windows resize' error just before your KP that's the key down Trip..or so I assume.
P.S Activity Monitor wont tell you much about a KP unless you're lucky enough to be investigating a process that Kp's while it happens. but as it fails all that info is gone,
nope use Act. Mon. to let you know about heat issues and what process might be causing the CPU to over work and heat. as regards original question.
hi Jimton: yup that's probably the key KP splash screen as it's got no line of text, as the KP is out side Mac known report experience so when it fails it can't point to anything.
