Default Trouble installing MacOsX - 06-24-2010, 09:23 PM

I have a Dell mini 10v with a N270 processor and A06 Bios.

I'm trying to install MacOsX with the info found in this thread:
How to setup Snow Leopard on mini 10v with A06 BIOS

I do everything as noted:
1. connect hdd to my macbook pro with a external hdd case
2. install SL and install 10.6.2 combo update
3. install NMB 0.8.2
4. shutdown the mac and move the hdd to my dell

Now when I startup the dell for the first time, I get a kernel panic. I reboot and after that the computer goes to the boot menu, starts to load the OS but reboots after about 1 second.

I'we tried typing -x at the boot promt (for safe mode), when I do that the startup process goes on for about 5 seconds, and then again, the computer reboots automatically.

Any thoughts?

Should I maybe try to do some tricks with the never versions of NBM, like 3.3 or 3.4 RCx ?

in order to install 10.6.2, you have to install Netbook Installer 0.8.3 RC5 or later (not NBM). You can try updating to 10.6.4 with Netbook Installer 0.8.4 RC1
