Well this is no fun -- I thought I'd install the latest NBI to prep for a potential 10.6.3 upgrade (from 10.6.2). As soon as I tried a clean restart after an apparently successful NBI install, I get a big black kernel panic. Now the Apple boot screen appears for a couple seconds before the panic occurs. No access!

Any ideas what happened? Can I salvage my setup and data or am I doomed to do a full reinstall? I didn't touch software update, so this is a nasty surprise. Help would be hugely appreciated.

EDIT: Found a couple similar threads, am now in recovery mode removing XCode. I will report my findings.
