Umm...that method sounds like it does a erase on the existing partition and would in fact delete everything!

I've been stuck at 10.5.7 because I can't determine how to upgrade to 10.6.x. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
For my system, I used a non-standard install method (Fool Proof No Hassle Mini 10v Install EVERYTHING WORKS!!). At the time it was the only method that worked for me (sleep, sound, etc.). I since heard its possible to upgrade from this install although a little more difficult. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a step by step as to how to upgrade from 10.5.x to 10.6.x. I'd much rather do an upgrade because I don't want to lose any of the files that I have accumulated in the last year or so.
