[Mini10v4Me]

I just got the June 2010 issue of Consumer reports and there was a review and ratings of computers, including netbooks.

Surprisingly (to me anyway) the Mini 10V (Win XP) ranked second to last, and the Mini 10 (Win XP) ranked dead last 9out of 27 netbooks with a 10 inch screen). Interestingly, the Mini 10 was ranked number 8, but it does not say which OS they used to determine the ranking. I assume it was Ubuntu or Win 7, since I believe these are the only other OS offered from Dell.

I wonder where the Mini 10v with SL would have come in? My guess is if the Mini 10 was capable of an 8 spot, the Mini 10v with Mac OS would come in higher?

oh! I find that interesting , quite frankly I don't have much experience with netbooks in general other than the Mini 10v. except a friends Acer one thing i fixed for him, I found the Mini a better Machine.

looking at the latest models in the shops the other day the Mini design is starting to look a bit dated, or is that just me.

my Mini is a cool machine and runs OSX smoothly what more could you want.

lol just got a E from Yahoo who must have pinged by Mini ..

I agree. My Mini runs OSX great and I use it as my everyday machine now, as opposed to my iBook G4 or my almost new Dell Studio 16 with Win 7.

For what it's worth, the top ranked 10" netbook was the Acer Aspire One 532h-2730.

I believe that the higher-rated Mini 10 was the 1012. I agree it was not clear.
