Default 10v freezes after I open the lid, why is this? - 04-11-2010, 12:25 AM

Can someone help me? My OS freezes after I open the lid, it works fine and its running when the lid is open, but once I close it and open it 5 minutes later, everything freezes. Help??

It's one of the BIOS settings, I think it's legacy USB, search for whether that should be on or off, I believe off, and check your BIOS, I had this 6 months ago when I first did my 10V, so I know you can fix it, I just can't remember which it is. Sorry I can't be of more help but hopefully that points you in the right direction.

SL 10.6.2 using NetbookInstaller 0.8.3 Final, tons of help from this site, and some patience

I'm too old to learn new tricks like a trackpad, so I use a small travel mouse, which requires USB legacy to be ON. As long as I unplug the mouse before shutting the lid or allowing the mini to go to sleep, it wakes fine. If the mouse is connected when the lid is closed, it requires a hard restart. It's a nuisance to have to unplug the mouse, but worth the inconvenience for me.
