Default How do I reinstall OSX on a HD that already has it installed? - 04-04-2010, 01:37 PM

I want to reinstall OSX because I want to delete my personal information and have a clean OSX install so I can sell the machine to a friend.

I created a bootable USB drive (with a retail OSX SL disc on a mac and the newest Netbook installer), I plug it in before I turn it on and hold down F12 to boot from the USB. But after that, it just boots into OSX like normal.

Any ideas? Is there an easier way to go about deleting all my information?

Thanks in advance!

You forgot to re-enable Legacy USB in the BIOS.
