Default Vm Fusion or Parrallels working on Dell Mini? - 04-03-2010, 11:54 PM

I have a dual boot set up that is working quite well but would love oyu be able to run some windows apps in my OSX environment. Is either working ok? also is there a way for one of the above apps to recognize the already installed windows 7 partition

Parallels won't work, it needs features of the Core2 chips that the Atom does not have

I don't know about Fusion

I was able to get VirtualBox to work and had Win7 going for a while but it was painfully slow and I gave up.

yes i also had fusion 3.0 working with XP pro. But it was a bit laggy, but i didn't go as far as adjusting ram or virtual memory so could work ok if stripped down.

Ive removed it as don't need it..

so has anyone got it to work with the point of accessing your physical windows partition that is part of your dual boot?

I keep getting this error message when I attempt to access it

Cannot open the disk '/Users/admin/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0/Boot Camp partition.vmwarevm/Boot Camp partition.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Reason: The partition table on the physical disk has changed since the disk was created. Remove the physical disk from the virtual machine, then add it again.

Allright I solved that error issue by deleting the boot camp vm and allowing VMFusion to recreate it. Now I'm running into an issue about IDE failing to start up and it loads the machine now but gets a Boot 0: Error
