Default the Acer1/Dell Mini Calibration is poor for the 10v... - 03-24-2010, 07:33 AM

quite terrible colors for the discerning eye.

I strongly recommend going into the OS X screen calibration setup and create your own.

(or, if you have access to a more advanced calibration software, great, use it.)

This is the my own calibration setup. I think it works great for photos especially, given the inherent weakness of the netbook display.

Try it out if you want, Simply put the .icc file in Library>ColorSync>Profiles then go into Preferences>displays>color and find the new calibration and click on it.

this is another one, subtle differences from the one posted above, yet much better the acer1 / Dell Mini .icc being used by most...........

(that acer1/dell mini profile might work for a 9, but it is way-off with the 10v screen)

I was using the acer1 / Dell Mini .icc before and after trying these the colours seem more vibrant and it doesnt seem so washed out now

Indeed, thanks. I always cringe when I hold the mini's screen up next to my iMac's or girlfriend's macbook screen. Excited to try these out.

Default Here's my settings - blue is no longer purple! - 03-24-2010, 02:39 PM

Thank you Doug - I've been working the attached for sometime....I just didn't know how/think to share it....I think the attached makes my Hackintosh closely resemble my MacBook Pro (just way lower res).
