Default new mini 10v NBM 0.8.3 or 0.8.4pre? - 03-16-2010, 04:57 AM

Hello. I am receiving my new dell mini 10v tomorrow. I'm in the process of making my snow leopard usb drive. Just wondering if many people have upgraded to 0.8.4 yet? I've noticed a few posts of people having some problems with it. Should I go ahead with the new 0.8.4 release of NBM or stick with 0.8.3 ? Thanks in advance.

Personally, I would stick with 0.8.3final for now. You can upgrade to 0.8.4 later when it's no longer "pre". I ran 0.8.4pre last night and it's causing issues with booting. Hopefully they get sorted out quickly and Meklort gets 0.8.4 running as perfectly as 0.8.3final.

To be fair to 0.8.4pre, 0.8.3 caused me exactly the same problem. I just can't change the title of my thread.

AFAIK there's a new bootloader coming out soon anyway, so there'll be yet another new, improved version to re-install if you want to.

I upgraded from 0.8.3 to 0.8.4pre with no issues. Not that I can tell any difference either, but nothing went wrong.
