Default Second install questions - 03-15-2010, 10:18 AM

I'm just about to sort out another 10v for a friend and am wondering if I still need to downgrade the BIOS from A6 when using the latest NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3?

Also...I lost my external drive with the SL system install so I created a new one just as before but this time using NBM 0.8.3, thing is I'm not sure if all is well. I tried to boot my 10v (running Snow Leopard on a BIOS A4) from the new disc but for some reason it ignores it and boots from the internal drive. Should it boot regardless of what is on the internal HD? Do I need to set something in the BIOS for it to boot from the external?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You no longer need to downgrade your BIOS.

You need to enable USB Legacy and set the USB as your primary booting device in BIOS to boot from a USB drive.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but I am on a mini 9 and I know it is a different button on the 10v to pull up the boot order.
