I keep getting thousands of errors when extracting the newest nbi. it says
just read the first few lines

EDIT---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

solved the problem by renaming the archive and the first file inside of the archive to NBI.

You could have also moved the .zip file to a root-level folder such as "c:\," which has far fewer characters than your download location. Why are you trying to extract files from it anyway? That isn't necessary for typical users.

No. Using mechdrew's 2-drive method, you need to download the NBI .img file from the guide and write it to your flash drive using dd or ImageWriter.
