Default HDD format - 03-13-2010, 02:24 PM

since i dont have a 16 gb drive but i do have a 500gb portable drive can i just make a new partition on it so i dont have to delete my data?

That may work; at least it's worth a try. Perhaps someone else who has tried it (and succeeded or failed) will comment. Otherwise let us know your results.

Yes, an SD card should work.

so i could use an 8gb sd card for the snow leopard and it would boot right(possibly?)

Not by itself, no (unless you have a Mac and use NetbookBootmaker). You still have to use a USB drive with NBI on it to boot then choose the OS X SD Card.

i have the NBI image written to a flash already, i just wanted to make sure it worked thanks. I cant test it until i get my dell mini though.
