Default You need to Restart Your Computer Installation Screen - 03-11-2010, 08:51 PM

HI Guys

I am using the follwoing option to do my installation and runing into problems and don't know what the problem could be and hope someone can assist me please.

Using NetbookInstaller 2: USB Mac Installation via Any Operating System. I have 2 flash drives :
  1. Kingston 1GB USB drive and used Image Writer for Windows to write the NBI_083F file to it
  2. Have an Scandisk 16GB drive with my macdvd.img [which was made from original MAC OS x 10.5.4 which was 2 cd's and taken disk 1]
So i boot up and it keeps on giving me the same screen over and over again.

After using the Retail disk my installation gets further than before and i partition the drive......and install....then it tells me to reboot. Once i do this it gives me a "can't find match_kernal" and then i press F8 to get my MAC OS X DVD selection again and enter and the following error "Memory Allocation Error (0x104597f0 , xxxxxxxx)" I found link below and don't know if i should do this but don't have a mac so bit stuck at the moment.....

Kernel Panic (generic CPU error) - It occurs if you have an Atom processor or some of the very old boards. The only way to fix it by using PC_EFI v9. Its kind of simple to do , all you have to do is download this installer and boot file for Snow Leopard. Its bit old school. To do this firstly , you’ll have to download PC_EFI v9 installer and this boot file from it. Install this boot loader to your USB Drive (be sure to change its destination) and replace the boot file with this patched file. Be sure to follow rest of the guide such as generating extensions.mkext and so on and so forth. Its just that instead of Chameleon , you’ll have to use PC_EFI v9.

So, are you now using a retail OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 disc? Did the install succeed? What method are you using--1 USB, 2 USB, NetbookCD? More details are needed.

It come to the installation and i partition the drive as indicated then select the drive and install....it says that it will take 16min to install but 1min later an error occurs and says Install Failed "Installer could not copy the necessary support files" Click to restart your computer and try installing again.......and it stays in this loop.

Hope someone can help me.

I have also used the boot from external drive and have the NetbookCD 0.8.3 and it boots up fine but then when i put in my Mac OS X Snow Leopard CD in it it does nothing. The only way out will be to create everything from a Mac [at friends house] then i have tried everything
