Managed to put OSX on the 10v today, then upgraded to 10.6.2. Only glitch in the whole affair was Bootmaker having to run on OSX 10.5 or greater (and my Mac being on 10.4), but I found a willing host eventually.
When I set up Skype, I found the sound was not working, but then remembered reading something about having to rerun Installer, so I reran that (nicely filed in the apps) and all subsequently ok.
Having a Mobile Me account definitely helped with rapid (operational) setup. My 10v has a Spanish keyboard, so still getting my head around some keys (and have found the thread with advice). Not totally sure what I'm doing with the trackpad either. It seems to change mode of operation after a reboot (or that could be me). I can make pages almost drop off the screen by accident - also not quite sure I'm getting the whole of some System Preference screens.
During setup I created a second partition for Ubuntu, but not set that up yet.
Overall, I'm amazed at how good it is. Thanks to all who put in the background tech-work and everyone who contributes with help on these forums.
