Default [DISREGARD] OSX Install hanging - looking for suggestions... - 03-05-2010, 09:41 PM

Ok, obviously I'm not patient enough, the 11 minutes just ended up being about 25ish minutes, but it seems to have completed and I'm on to the next step. Guess I'll have to try to get used to being a bit more patient.... yeah - right!

Hi all,

I recently got a mini10v refurb from Dell.

I'm in the midst of attempting to do a OSX 6.x install based upon this guide: Complete Guide to Dual Booting 10v with Windows 7 and OSX 10.6.2

Everything *was* going fine until now I'm sitting at 11 minutes left on the install for about the last 15-20 minutes...

I searched the forums, and most of the posts seemed be about older install methods. Any tips would be appreciated!

It can be VERY slow. I just installed OS X on a 16GB usb stick last night and it was on less than a minute for 15-20 minutes. And there are some numbers (11 may be one) where it tends to sit longer than others.

Netbook: Mini 10v, BIOS A05, OS X 10.6.4, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, BT

Yeah, it's been a long time since I last setup a mini as a hackintosh (last one I setup was a mini 9 ages ago) I kinda forgot how long certain aspects of the setup are...
