Default Macbook SSD transplanted into Mini 10v? - 03-04-2010, 11:07 AM

Hi, I just about to go traveling and wanted a smaller laptop than my Macbook so I'm going for a Mini 10v Hackintosh. I have a 120gb SSD in the Macbook (running 10.6.2) that I want to swap into the Dell and wondered if there is a way without wiping all my data. I still have the original hard drive plus the one out of the 10v to help the process. Is it enough just to use NetbookInstaller or do i need to fully install Snow Leopard?

Thanks for your advice in advance.

I would install SL on the 10v as per the guides, then mount your MacBook over the network on the 10v...then migrate all your data to the 10v using Migration Assistant.

thanks, took your advice and all working sweetly. Not swapped hard drives yet - waiting until I get used to the new machine and deciding if I need to upgrade ram. Trackpad is worst let down so working through tweaks and just generally seeing if I can live with it as my only computer. Great site, so many thanks...
