Default drive swap between osx'd 10v and new 10v? - 03-02-2010, 08:38 PM

a few weeks back, i soaked my 10v. after testing, it appears to be the power button itself that needs replacing. in the meantime, i grabbed a new 10v during the few days they were cheaper than the refurbs on the dell site. it just arrived today.

can i just transplant the HD from the soaked 10v (the drive never sustained any damage; runs just fine on a sled) to the new one without any fancy NBI magic? i was running 10.6.2 and NBI 0.8.3 final on the original machine, but the new machine has BIOS 06, while the old one was running A05.

It *should* work, though not sure about the change in BIOS. Worth a try.
