Default External Monitor Mirroring. - 02-28-2010, 10:48 AM

Hello Again,
Im using my DellMini10v OSX as a cheap little mac and am really impressed with it. I want to use an external monitor, to do some photoshop work, and would like to use mirroring, but everytime i switch i get rainbow stripes across my screens. Is there a fix anywhere?

If not is it possible to move the menu bar to the external monitor.

Thanks.

You can use the framebuffer kext from 10.5.8 I believe.....but you lose graphics acceleration so its not really worth it.

There is thread a few pages back discussing it.

I wish it worked though.

I gave up on mirroring after several time-consuming and painful attempts.

Thanks.
Go to System Preferences - Displays - Arrangement try dragging the menu bar from the outline of one screen to the other.

I had the same problem with mirroring, and finally found this thread that helped fix it. Find Hamburgler's post about midway down (#8).

Vga out on 10v with osx
