To answer the OP's original question, I think that it has now been established that if you are following Mechrdrew's guides and using the latest versions of NBI, then there is no need to 'downgrade' your BIOS, and that everything should work fine with version A06.

Mini 10v - Product (RED) - BIOS A06 - Ubuntu 11.04 - 2GB RAM - 60 GB OCZ Vertex SSD - Bluetooth - Intel 6205 Wi-Fi - WWAN

I'm more confident about it already. Great forum...

Okay, restart is a go after half an hour..

Just installed retail Sno Lep on Mini 10v running A06 using USB NetbookBootMaker following Mechdrew's NB1 Guide, using NBM 0.8.3 RC5 which is apparently A06 compat.

End result after restart: "You need to restart your computer." Kernal panics on boot.

"panic(cpu 0 caller 0x1b327459): "Unsupported CPU: family = 0x6, model = 0x1, stepping = 0x2" whatever that means

It says behind the restart screen: "Mac OS Version: Not yet set"
