Default Boot Performance of 10.6.2 on 10v - 02-15-2010, 08:40 PM

i installed a nice Intel X25 in my 10v in the hope to get
a speedy netbook, but the boot time is still about 1:15min.

My Mini9 was much faster on 10.6.2 with a slower drive,
what is the reason for the poor performance we see in 10.6.2?

Any recommended havks to improve boot time?

Supposedly, it is something to do with the Audio kext used to enable sound on the 10v. I believe it can likely be fixed with the right DSDT mod, but so far no one has figured it out to my knowledge.

Yes no way at this point to speed up boot time, just without audio.

We have to wait, that someone will be able tune the audio kext.

At this moment you should be happy, that if SL is booted, the system is more snappier with your ssd
